What are our services
  • TTE Transthoracic Echocardiography
2D, Color Doppler, Continuous Wave Doppler, Pulsed Wave Doppler, Contrast Echo, Shunt Study
  • TEE Tranesophageal Echocardiography
  • Stress Echocardiography
        ESE Exercise
        DSE Dobutamine

    Transthoracic Echocardiography
  • By using transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) we can look at the heart from the outside by rubbing gel on the chest and using and instrument called a transducer to take pictures of the heart using ultrasound. This does not hurt and it take 15-45 minutes per study.

    M-mode Echo
  • M-mode allow us to look more closely at the size of each chamber of the heart as well as make very precise measurements of the thickness of the heart wall

    Color Flow Doppler
  • Color Flow Doppler allow the heart doctor to look at the direction and how fast the blood is going through the heart.
  • Is is especially helpful in looking for problems with heart valves
    Pulsed Wave Doppler
  • Pulsed Wave Doppler allows us to listen to a specific portion of the blood going through the heart.
  • It allow gives us information about how the heart muscle squeezes and relaxes

    Continuous Wave Doppler
  • Sometimes the valves in the heart leak. We quantify how much the heart valve is leaking using Continous Wave Doppler (CW).

    Stress Echocardiography
  • Stress Echo allows a cardiologist to identify someone who might have a narrowing of the heart arteries One type required a patient to exercise on a treadmill to full exertion
  • The second type uses medicine to increase the heart rate

  • One advancement allow us to give a "contrast" which is specially formulated for ultrasound and allows the heart to be highlighted
