We use ERAS for Applications
to our residency program
We accept applications only through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Systems). Your medical school Dean’s Office or the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical graduates (ECFMG) can direct you on how you can access this process. For additional information regarding ERAS, you may visit their website at www.aamc.org/eras.
Applicant interviews are an important part of the match process and are by invitation only. Our application criteria are as follows.
- Have a valid ECFMG certificate
- Preference is given to USMLE Step I scores of 79 or above, with your Step II score higher than Step I. Two attempts are given for each step. Submittal of a copy of your formal USMLE transcript is required.
- International graduates are to have 6 months contact with U.S. medicine via rotation or externship. Observation does not apply.
- It is generally required that application be within 5 years of medical school graduation or last clinical practice.
- Only completed applications consisting of dean’s letter, 3 letters of recommendation (1 from a primary care physician), board scores, personal statement, and transcripts will be reviewed.
- Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident. We do not sponsor visas other than J1s.
Interviews are held from October – January. We accept applications through the 15th of December; please apply early to allow ample time to schedule interviews.
