Dr. Swierkosz's initial research interests were in mechanisms of autoimmune disease, regulation of T an B lymphocyte interaction, and production of T cell hybridomas and T cell lines.He is currently Dean of Students for the Medical school and is affiliated with the MMI Department as Course Director for Medical Microbiology and Immunology. He is in charge of graduate student-teaching in that course. His current interests are in the development of computer aided instruction in medical education, and the use of modern methods of information technology in problem-based learning.
