Our Mission

ABOUT US

Founded in 1996, the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA), is dedicated to ensuring that physicians from disadvantaged backgrounds are reflective of a diverse U.S. population. The office seeks to assist students from diverse backgrounds to be successful as they progress along the educational pathway in pursuit of a career as a physician. The principle focus of OMA, is to emphasize prevention, rather than crisis intervention. To this end, the Office seeks to entice, encourage, enable and empower, students who have medicine as their career goal.
