Sunday, August 2 WHITE COAT CEREMONY

• 1:30 pm WHITE COAT CEREMONY – Saint Francis Xavier College Church
  • New students must arrive by 12 noon in the church basement ballroom to receive white coats
• 3:30 pm RECEPTION for Students, Parents and Guests
  • Busch Memorial Student Center – Sponsored by the Medical Alumni Association

Monday, August 3 MEDICAL SCHOOL INTRO – REGISTRATION/TOURS

• 8:30 am Pick up Orientation Information Packets
  • Learning Resource Center (LRC) Lobby
• 9:00 WELCOME and INTRODUCTORY MESSAGES from the Deans
  • LRC Auditorium
• 9:45 BANNER Student Information Session
• 10:15 REGISTRATION & TOURS of the SLU Medical Center
• 12:00 - 1:00 A WELCOME LUNCH - with Support Groups
• 1:00 - Reception at Tower Grove Park
• 5:30-8:00  Campus Ministry- Welcome Pool Party

Tuesday, August 4 Student Information Session

• 8:30 am Refreshments – LRC Auditorium
• 9:00 –11:30 The Curriculum at SLU
  • Faculty and Student Perspectives
• 11:30-12:00 Campus Security Information for Students
• 12:00 Lunch with Support Groups
  • explore the city of St. Louis
• 5-8 pm Women Medical Student/Faculty Social
• 8:00 pm Bowling

Wednesday, August 5 STUDENT CONCERNS: Health & Finances

• 8:30 Refreshments - LRC Auditorium
• 9:00 Student Health Information And Student Financial Aid Information- very important!
• 10:00 HIPAA Training Session
  • Required Background-Check Information
• 11:00 Break
• 11:10 Clinical Compliance Session
• 1:00 Orientation Open
  • 9 or 18 holes of “collegial” golf at Forest Park or alternative activity for "non-golfers"

Thursday, August 6 CPR Training Day

• 8:00-5:00 pm Meet in the LRC lobby (Still tentative)
• 7:00 pm Night Out in St. Louis
  • Social event at local St. Louis establishments

• 8:00 am-6:00 pm Float Trip on the Meramec River – A rafting experience unique to Missouri

• 3:00 pm Family Picnic – At the home of a MS2 student (students with spouses, significant others, children)
